Lisbon Community Library
Food for Fines Program Update

Carol Day and Jim Duley of the LACO Food Bank shown at the Lisbon Library with the Food for Fines donations

The Lisbon Library Department is happy to announce that library patrons have donated 162 pounds of food to the Food for Fines Program! Because the program has been so successful, the library will extend the program through the month of December.

As a reminder, the Lisbon Library Department will waive $2 of your overdue fines for every non-perishable food or household item you donate to our food drive in support of the LACO (Lisbon Area Christian Outreach) Food Bank. Food bank representatives Carol Day and Jim Duley indicate that baby food and formula are in particularly short supply but all non-perishable food or household items are happily welcome.

If you don't have any outstanding fines, you can still donate food or household items until December 31!

We cannot accept expired, damaged or perishable food items.
