Lisbon Community Resource Coordinator/Grant Writer

LISBON SCHOOL DEPARTMENT
Community Resource Coordinator / Grant Writer
Job Goal

Lisbon School Department connects the dots with students pre-kindergarten through high school, the Lisbon community and beyond.  Monica Millhime, Community Resource Coordinator / Grant Writer, plans, organizes and evaluates community resources for Lisbon students and their families.  Millhime recruits, trains and works with a dedicated force of adult volunteers, and students grades 5-12, for the benefit of students and teachers at Lisbon’s  Community School, Philip W. Sugg Middle School and Lisbon High School.  Millhime consistently networks with area businesses to form community partnerships and explores grant opportunities.  Whether it is a free monthly Lisbon family movie night, assistance in classrooms, field trips, guest speakers, service group contributions, corporate sponsorships or grants, a restaurant sponsored Culinary Arts Scholarship, assisting one of the numerous co-curricular groups, or taking work home to assist teachers, Lisbon’s Volunteers and Community Partnerships are an added resource in and out of the classroom for students.  FMI on the volunteer program in Lisbon email mmillhime@lisbonschoolsme.org or call 754-0021.

We are very pleased to continue the partnership formed last year with Monica, the Schools and the Lisbon Community.  The information provided will continue to be shared with our readers.  Welcome to a new school year everyone.
