It seems that every time one picks up the newspaper or watches or listens to the news lately an official in some town or other is being charged with embezzling

or some other wrongdoing.

All towns and cities across Maine and the nation are dealing with less and less

income. State and Federal subsidies are down.

What better way to reduce expenses in Lisbon than by having a Lisbon Cost Management Survey.

The Lisbon Cost Management Survey would include, be done by, professional audits by outsiders, to investigate and verify Lisbon town efficiencies, cost savings opportunities, procedures, practices, discrepancies, and irregularities.

A professionally conducted, Town Council authorized and managed, Lisbon Cost Management Survey would more than pay for itself.

Savings would be substantial.

We would have a more efficient town-run government.

Who would object to that?

Why would anyone object to that?

I mentioned this once at a budget workshop, but no-one was even listening.

So, Dear Citizens and Taxpayers of Lisbon,  

If you agree, please call your Town Councilors.

I'll even help you.
