LISBON COMMUNITY SCHOOL STUDENT KATIE SCROGGINS’ ARTWORK FEATURED ON MAINE WEBSITE
Lisbon
- Katie Scroggins, a fourth grade student at Lisbon Community School,
33 Mill Street in Lisbon, has been notified that her artwork will
represent the State of Maine on the new website for the New England
Geographic Education Network. The NEGEN advocates and supports shared
expertise in content knowledge and organizational resources in order to
achieve a broader regional impact in geography education. They recently
hosted a poster contest where students were asked to address the theme
of “Our New England Community.” Katie designed and completed her poster
as a class assignment for the GATE program instructed by Thompson. FMI
