I thought I read this on here a while ago, but why are huge, fully loaded 18 wheelers allowed on Wing Street when there is clearly a sign that reads "No through trucks over 5 tons?" I passed one of these monstrosities leaving Wing onto Main this morning around 8am. There is a reason that the limit is there. The streets aren't designed for the weight. Wing street was paved a little while ago and it is already showing signs of destruction by these trucks. We all know who they belong to. If these rule/ordinances are disregarded, can the police and/or the code enforcement officer tell me which laws/rules/ordinances I can ignore since they are not enforcing all laws/rules/ordinances. It would be very helpful.

FYI: Not sure how much wiggle room is needed to get out of this one.

The land use ordinance even states that these trucks can't be parked there. Only Land designated as commercial and industrial can be used as a "truck terminal."

Sec. 70-530. Land uses.
Truck terminal: A building and premises devoted to handling and temporary warehousing of goods, which may include facilities for the maintenance and repair (except body repairs, frame straightening and painting), fueling and storage of trucks or tractor-trailer combinations.
