Give the 2015 Moxie Festival A Theme‏

33rd Annual Moxie Festival July 10-12, 2015

Lisbon’s Moxie Store Owner Frank Anicetti encourages you to participate in the 2015 Moxie Festival theme contest.

The Moxie Festival Committee is pleased to announce the opening of the 2015 Moxie Festival theme contest.  The theme entry must include a reference to Moxie and Maine and be submitted by Jan. 1, 2015.

The 2015 Moxie Festival theme is used:

·         To create floats for the famous Moxie Festival Parade on July 11 (Floats that best exemplify the theme win prizes.)
·         As inspiration for Lisbon High School art students as they compete in the 2015 Moxie Festival logo contest (The logo is used for the 2015 Moxie Festival t-shirt.)

Entries can be  emailed to debwagner@gwi.net or mailed to Debra Wagner, Moxie Festival Committee, 23 Center Street, Lisbon Falls, ME  04252 until January 1, 2015.  Theme entries become the property of the Moxie Festival Committee.

The winner, chosen at the Moxie Festival Committee meeting in January, will win a deluxe Moxie-filled basket and will be invited to serve as a parade judge.

Past Moxie Festival themes include:  It’s Always Moxie Season in Maine, Moxie, a Maine tradition, Moxie, It’s Maine in a Bottle; Moxie – Maine-ia, and Moxie & ME.

The 33rd Moxie Festival will be held in Lisbon Falls on July 10-12, 2015.

Since 1982, the Moxie Festival is known as Lisbon’s signature event, drawing nearly 45-50,000 people from Maine, across the United States and as far away as Ecuador, Morocco, and Australia.  Recent Moxie Festivals have included a four-day Family Carnival, three-day Pow Wow, Friday night Recipe Contest, fireworks; a Saturday parade, Moxie Day 5K Race, Moxie Bike Rally, Chug-n-Challenge, Moxie Vintage Base Ball Game, and Vendors with Moxie and Maine-made items; and on Sunday, the Chief Worumbo Androscoggin River Race, Moxie Car Show and much more!

Lisbon’s Moxie Store Owner Frank Anicetti (3rd generation Anicetti) and Greta Evans (5th generation Anicetti) encourage you to enter the 2015 Moxie Festival theme contest.
