Vandals Target Newspaper Over ‘Illegal’ Term, But the Newspaper is NOT Backing Down!
As a matter of fact, those who have immigrated here illegally are illegal immigrants. However one wants to justify this criminal act or sanitize the term used for those whose very first acts in our country is to commit a crime, the inescapable fact is that they who are here illegally are illegal immigrants.
However, not everybody sees it that way; as many mainstream media outlets shy away from the term “illegal,” they too-often opt for the erroneous term “undocumented.”
Such terms, however, aim to deny the inherent criminality of illegal immigrants’ actions. Similarly, it would be erroneous to claim that Jack the Ripper was an “unlicensed surgeon.”
