Mother sues school board for teen’s arrest and suspension over NRA shirt

Oh, I hope Jared wins the full amount and more in his lawsuit – that school and all those named in the suit have richly earned it. His First and Fourteenth Amendment rights were roundly violated here and his Second Amendment rights were slapped as well.

Seriously? You can’t wear an NRA t-shirt to school now? I’d get my son the heck out of that school and fast, no matter what it took. West Virginia – you have some ‘splainin’ to do. Even after the specious charges were dismissed against Jared, the school still forced him to serve a one day suspension to prove they were right and to make a political point. Fascists.

A West Virginia mother is suing the Logan County Board of Education for violating her teenage son’s constitutional rights after he was charged and suspended for wearing an National Rifle Association T-shirt to school.
Tanya Lardieri filed the lawsuit in federal court on behalf of her son, Jared Marcum, who was charged in 2013 for disrupting the educational process and obstructing a police officer after he refused to turn his NRA T-shirt inside out, EAGNews.org reported.
