[Watch] Hammer Mayhem Suspect Shot By NYPD Cops After Attacking Female Officer

Reports A masked, hammer-wielding madman who’d already attacked four people in Manhattan was gunned down in the middle of a busy Midtown street Wednesday after smashing a cop in the head, officials said.

David Baril, 30, started swinging his claw hammer wildly at Officer Lauren O’Rourke when he spotted her following him on W. 37th St. and Eighth Ave. around 10a.m., police said.
