American Updater According to the Department of Defense’s records, there are more than half of the 1.4 million guns that were shipped to Afghanistan and Iraq post 9/11 that are not accounted for.

It is thought that there are even more missing weapons as the measurements were not done very well in the first place. This could be disastrous.
