Local Librarians to be Featured 'On a Hot Roof'

LISBON — Lisbon librarians Diane Nadeau and Jo-Jean Keller are summoning their sunscreen and lawn chairs after an intense six-week summer reading program at Lisbon Falls Community Library. Instead of a day off, however, these women are headed next door to spend a day on the roof of the Lisbon Falls Fire Department.

The pair has promised to sit on the rooftop if children can read more than the total number of books read during last year’s summer reading program. With 193 participants and 76 more than last year, they are preparing themselves for the possibility, even hoping for it, if it means children read more."

U.S. Attorney Wants Newspaper to Name Names

By Bob Livingston • Jul 10th, 2009 • Category: Alternative Medicine, Bob Livingston, Civil Liberty, Freedom Concerns, Personal Liberty Articles, Privacy U.S. Attorney Wants Newspaper to Name Names

Should a newspaper, or any web site for that matter, be required to reveal the names of people posting comments to website articles? A court fight in Nevada may determine the answer to that question and just exactly how the First Amendment applies in the case of anonymous postings on the internet.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is fighting a Nevada U.S. Attorney who is seeking the names and personal information of anonymous posters responding to a Las Vegas Review-Journal newspaper story.

The story about a federal case against Nevada businessman Robert Kahre, drew some caustic—some have said possibly threatening—comments about U.S. Assistant District Attorney J. Gregory Damm and the jury hearing the case.

Police Funding Down,,, Now Let's Disarm The Citizens

You know when it is getting hot out, seems like that is when we start day dreaming and our minds wander, we gently float away in our thoughts. Solemnly letting the wind blow mischievously through our hair. OK someone else's hair.

Is that what they do in Washington D. C. to come up with these Ideas of Change?

Have I missed something or is it just me?

I believe that Guns don't kill people, People kill people.

The violence on the U.S./Mex. Border has dramatically increased and they now want to 'disarm'
the American Citizens. Some of which have ancestrial heritage dating back to the Year's of this Country's Great Founders.

Here we Go!

Oh yeah, it's some CHANGE!

Ed.

"It’s gotten so bad that Stratfor calls Mexico the kidnapping capitol of the world, and gangs are beginning to use something called a virtual kidnapping: calling people and telling them they have kidnapped a family member and collecting a ransom without actually having kidnapped anybody.

And it’s begun to spill across the border with reports of kidnappings for ransom or murder—usually illegal immigrants so far—occurring in Texas and Arizona.

So how does the administration of President Barack Obama respond? Attorney General Eric Holder called for a ban on so-called assault weapons. Holder said in a February news conference that such a ban would help cut down the flow of guns going across the border.

But the types of weapons that would be banned are not the type commonly being used by gangs and drug cartels. In their battles with police the criminals are employing fragmentation grenades, fully automatic weapons and rocket-propelled grenades. After a recent battle in which five cartel gunmen were killed and several more wounded, police even recovered a 60-mm mortar—all weapons that are unavailable to average citizens in the U.S. under existing laws.

Yet Holder believes that disarming Americans, as violent drug cartels battle along the border and kidnapping gangs sneak into America, is the right course of action.

And Holder and Obama aren’t the only ones trying to disarm U.S. citizens. Currently in Congress is H.R. 45 which will “prohibit a person from possessing a firearm unless that person has been issued a firearm license under this Act or a state system certified under this Act and such license has not been invalidated or revoked.”"

Federal Gov.'t Cuts $1 Billion From Police Budgets

Someone Else Is Heading To Hollywood

Hey, is that a Snake she is Holding?

Stepping down, Sarah Palin takes aim at media, Hollywood

By Personal Liberty News Desk • Jul 26th, 2009 • Category: Conservative Politics, Personal Liberty News

Stepping down, Sarah Palin takes aim at media, Hollywood Alaska governor Sarah Palin officially resigned on Sunday, offering few clues as to her political future but scolding media for "making things up" and the liberal elites for attempts to restrict access to guns.

Echoing suggestions she made on July 3, when she announced her surprise resignation a year and a half before the end of her first term, Palin repeated that the intense media scrutiny of her family contributed to her decision.

"Our new governor has a very nice family, too, so leave his kids alone," she stressed, referring to Sean Parnell, a Republican and Palin ally.

In her speech, the outgoing governor also went after Hollywood "starlets" who oppose gun rights, warning against "anti-hunting, anti-second amendment circuses from Hollywood."

Papa's Tomato Garden

An old Italian lived alone in New Jersey . He wanted to plant his
annual tomato garden, but it was very difficult work, as the ground
was hard.

His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison. The old
man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament:

Dear Vincent,

I am feeling pretty sad, because it looks like I won't be able to
plant my tomato garden this year. I'm just getting too old to be
digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would
be over.. I know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in
the old days.

Love, Papa

A few days later he received a letter from his son.

Dear Pop,

Don't dig up that garden. That's where the bodies are buried.
Love,
Vinnie

At 4 a.m. the next morning, FBI agents and local police arrived and
dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized
to the old man and left.

That same day the old man received another letter from his son.

Dear Pop,

Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That's the best I could do
under the circumstances.

Love,
Vinnie

From Porter Stansberry in the S&A Digest:

Even though the government appears unable to run its own two mortgage companies [Freddie and Fannie], OBAMA! wants to create an entirely new regulatory agency to police the financial decisions you make. I'm not making this up. The new agency – the Financial Protection Agency – will be led by a so-called financial regulatory "czar," who will determine if the financial products you're offered (credit cards, mortgages, home-equity loans) are "fair."

According to the legislation that's now proposed (Financial Protection Agency Act of 2009), the government will design a set of "standard" financial products that financial-products companies will be forced to offer. And the agency will have the power to forbid financial firms from making any competing offers if the government deems these products to be harmful.

Not only does OBAMA! intend to control what kinds of financial products you are allowed to use, he's installing a leading intellectual mother hen to be in charge of the whole thing – Cass Sunstein.

From Newsmax:

It's shaping up as the biggest government bailout in history.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the government-sponsored mortgage finance firms, have already received a total of more than $85 billion as part of the Federal bailout program.

Fannie got $34.2 billion in taxpayer money; Freddie got $51.7 billion.

But it seems that's not enough, by half. Estimates now forecast the two giants will need about $200 billion total before they can stand on their own two financial feet again.

In Study, Texting Lifts Crash Risk by Large Margin

The first study of drivers texting inside their vehicles shows that the risk sharply exceeds previous estimates based on laboratory research — and far surpasses the dangers of other driving distractions.

The new study, which entailed outfitting the cabs of long-haul trucks with video cameras over 18 months, found that when the drivers texted, their collision risk was 23 times greater than when not texting.

The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute, which compiled the research and plans to release its findings on Tuesday, also measured the time drivers took their eyes from the road to send or receive texts.

Glad To Be Home In Maine

By Tom McLauglin

"Two burly Canadian border guards searched my truck. They told my wife and I to stand in front of the grille “for our safety” while they were pulling our stuff apart, and I watched them through my windshield. One found a box of bullets in my glove compartment and showed it to his partner. Then he came around to me and said, “Put your hands behind your head. Lace your fingers. Point your toes outward.” Then he patted me down, including my groin.

“Got anything sharp on you?” he asked.

“There’s a knife in my pocket,” I said, wondering what prompted them to put me through this. My wife stood by, wide-eyed."

Nicely Said

Dear Citizens,

I write as an ordinary citizen, I have done nothing remarkable or perhaps even noteworthy. I am a free thinker and under no obligations public or private. My thoughts are not subject to rule and are free from any authority except the authority of reason, truth and conscience. It is that conscience and my desire to see truth and logic prevail that drive me to fight against the tyranny of our ever growing oppressive government.

Getting to the crux of the matter, we are faced with serious economic problems, not just in Maine, but nationwide. It is evident to me that economic and political freedom go hand in hand; if you lose one, you will lose the other. I believe that you have noticed that there has been a serious decline in our individual rights, especially our freedom and property rights. If we are going to solve these problems, it might help to ascertain the cause of these problems. When I contemplate the fifty years of my life I am left with no doubt whatsoever that government in all forms not only creates most of our problems, it is also the greatest threat to our freedom.

What is government? What is politics? George Washington warned us that “government is not eloquence it is not reason it is force and like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.” Thomas Paine rebuked government at it’s best is but a necessary evil at it’s worst an intolerable one. Politics is who gets to use this legalized force on who and for what purpose.

The old adage divide and conquer is prevalent in America today; we are not only divided political parties we are also divided into other factions such as rich and poor, young and old. We are divided ideologically by laws that the government has no moral or constitutional right to make, laws based on emotional and abstract notions.

Bribery, stealing, lying, selling political favors and so forth are easily recognized forms of corruption, however there are far worse forms of corruption that are not easily recognized, yet are widely practiced and accepted with respect by those who loathe the basic forms of corruption previously stated. It is the corruption of mind and spirit that comes from the conscious compromise of principle that one would openly admit they believe in. No shame is cast upon or held by the seekers of office who peddle false promises for votes. Politicians who cast burdens on some for the unearned benefits of others. I am disgusted with the majority of politicians who sell their souls for political power and become the darlings of those they lie to.

As I see it today, public policy is a maze of payoffs, kickbacks and shakedowns tangled up in political intrigue. Politicians expect people to be grateful for the shackles government attaches to them. We have become the economic slaves on the assembly line of the state. The economic crisis that has been created by government is far more than fiscal. As I mentioned before, economic and political freedom are correlative entities, again if you lose one you will lose the other. The abandonment of fundamental principles has set our once free society on a disastrous course. Our so called leaders shy away from principles like a vampire shy’s away from the cross. Why? Because principles interfere with their plans and their own selfish, partisan interest.

In a free society, the government does not have the right to determine how a businessman should serve the interest of society; nor should individuals be forced to serve others. Political force certainly does not solve economic problems, it causes them, and government control of the money supply has repeatedly caused economic instability. The great depression was aggravated by counter productive intervention by government. The agenda of less government and lower taxes and less regulation would be good, however, and most unfortunate, this formula would be antithetical to the standard of interest of professional politicians. Our current President who I will refer to henceforth as “the golden dancer” is a progressive Marxist who embraces policy that violates the very foundations of a moral and free society and he has ignored all of the conditions necessary to ensure economic stability and in fact has embraced policy that has been proven time and again to lead to economic disaster and a drastic decline in the standard of living. I question, how can he be so ignorant or perhaps I should question why he pursues a path of obvious destruction to the United States of America. The golden dancer is either stupid or evil, neither makes a good leader.

I know the concept of a “national will” or a “national goal” is the essence of tyranny. People, not government, have goals. The proper function of government is to maintain a condition of liberty allowing the individual the opportunity to accomplish those goals.
The stimulus package is referred to as federal money. What is federal money? It is money taken from the people. The basic means for doing this is taxing, borrowing or printing money.

Taxation comes in various forms. Income tax, tariffs, social security tax, medicare, medicade, licenses, fines, fees, permits, etc. All a burden on the people. The most common instrument for borrowing is selling bonds. Borrowing increases the national debt. The interest on the bonds is paid by tax dollars and the principle is commonly paid by selling more bonds, a burden on the people.

Printing money is the root cause of inflation. An increase in in the money supply causes prices to rise. In other words, it decreases the value of the dollar. Inflation is a flat tax that naturally puts the greatest burden on the poor, yet those same poor through constant indoctrination continue to support the politicians who chain them to low expectations and lives of poverty.

The lessons of a paternalistic government learned today must be unlearned. The notion that government can take care of you is a plague. It is a plague that destroys the moral, economic and political principles that made the United States the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world.

Nothing that out leaders can plan and order and rush around enforcing will take the place of personal initiative, competitive selection, the profit motive corrected by failure and the infinite process of hard work and personal ingenuity. These things constitute the life of a free society. The doctrines and policies of our own government are destroying these vital creative impulses. The policy of equalizing misery and organizing scarcity instead of allowing diligence, self interest and ingenuity to produce is killing the American Dream. Set the people free - get out of the way and let them make the best of themselves.

What will change the direction that our country is headed? What will change the abandonment of principles and the usurpation of our individual liberty? First, we need to be sure of ourselves, our principles, our purpose in life convictions and we must stand fast in the belief that politicians are our servants, we are the boss, not them. We must take charge of our own destiny. We can not hope that the politicians will change course we must make them change.

It serves us all to remember the words of Johann Wolfegang Von Goethe
“None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.”

Yours In Liberty,

Beth A. O’Connor

Obama's comments regarding Cambridge Police

I grew up in Roxbury, Ma. and I remember when Joe Louis was the Heavyweight champion, I was in a mixed school, black and white, and previous black friends became enemies. At recess time at the Dudley School, there was constant threats of blacks against whites, fistfights all over the school yard. Going to the movie on saturday, either at the Dudley or Rivoli movies, was a challenge since gangs used to gather to try to get our movie money. When Louis fought Billy Conn and lost, I changed to a Catholic school to avoid the abuse. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To me, this is what Obama is capable of doing, using race to defend a a situation which did not call for his intervention, until he knew what actually went on. He has previously defended friends in situations which did not call for it. This is the Obama the democrats voted for. My Independent vote went to mcCain just because i didn't want Obama. Still don't. Andy Riordan, Lisbon Falls, Maine

Well Now!

This may not make sense to some readers, but most of you ought to be able to relate.
Seems not so long ago councilor Cote was "basically Ambushed", as one lawyer put it, by Lisbon's "so called" Finest, Police Chief David T. Brooks. (Those that need to catch up may learn more here.)

Roger Cote stood his ground by literally sitting in his seat and watched in, no doubt shock, embarrassment, anger and disbelief as 30 years of Police Experience came forth through the Verbal Diarrhea display exhibited by a $72,000.00/year salaried Town Employee.

Who has already retired from this Chief of Police position once
before.

Insubordination
come to Mind?
Seems pretty clear.

Chief Brooks as a paid employee of the Town of Lisbon acted in Violation of Town Charter, by NOT handling his concerns with the Town Manager, Steve Eldridge, as proper procedure for dealing with Employee/Employer Relationships. In this Case, Roger Cote, Town Councilor/Employer; and Chief of Police David T. Brooks, Employee.

Anyone else noted that Town Attorney Roger Theriault has just evaporated. Remember last summer when he was at just about every Town Meeting.

I recently learned that Quirk Auto Group will be hosting Try Outs For an episode of "Deal or No Deal" you should put your coat back on and head Down River while the water is high.
"Now deal with it."

Since you again spent Town Monies that could have better served the residents.

Considering the following letter from a "dedicated" citizen,

YOU as Lisbon Police Chief, David T. Brooks Should Be Proud.

You've managed to Suck Monies out of this Community again this year!

A request from Faye Brown:

I recently wrote a little article about our town Gazebo and why it has stars and stripes. This season just before the 4th, beautiful new patriotic bunting was purchased for the the gazebo and the blue wagon near the Civil War Monument. Sadly, not everyone is very appreciative of this nice little area.

Idiots have burned the railings with cigarettes (no smoking is allowed in any of our town parks), and someone keeps stealing the hanging stars.

About a dozen have been stolen so far in the last few weeks. They used to just rip them out and throw them on the ground, but now they are stolen. At 10:45 P.M. after the fireworks, I hung the last of my extra stars so the gazebo would look nice for our Moxie weekend.

Several of them were stolen last week.

The town parks all close after sundown, so I would urge anyone seeing activity in any of our parks/cemeteries to call the police. I would also ask parents to notice if any of their 'little darlings' have 5" wooden white stars left around their premises.

If so, just drop them off at the barbershop steps- that would be nice.

Now to my request-

I am hoping that someone will be willing to make a bunch of new stars. I can give anyone a pattern star, and I will also provide a length of white composite or a board. I will not give in to these vandals!!

I want our gazebo to have those hanging stars. And a security camera would be nice too.
By the way, not one town citizen answered the call for more volunteers to work on the town gardens.

The town doesn't pay anyone to maintain the gardens, just to mow. Volunteering to take over just one small area would be a big help.

If anyone is interested, call Faye at 353-2728 0r 353-5771
FMI .Maybe next year the addition of several volunteer citizens AND the weather will be more helpful.

How about some Stars For Faye?

Send In The Rattlers to Find That Rumford Snake...

(U.S. Navy Photo by Photographer's Mate 3rd Class Todd Frantom)

Before It Eats All The Flamingos.

The U.S. Navy is relying on a historic icon to remind the world of America's strength and courage. The rattlesnake has been a favorite symbol of independence throughout America's history. Adopted as a uniquely American icon by early patriots, such as Benjamin Franklin, the rattlesnake represents American unity. Individually, its rattles have no sound, but united they can be heard by all. And while it does not strike unless threatened, once provoked, the deadly rattlesnake never surrenders.

The rattlesnake was used as a symbol of resistance to British repressive acts in Colonial America. Flags bearing rattlesnakes and bearing the simple warning "Don't Tread on Me" were flown on the first ships of the Continental Navy in the Delaware River in 1775.

ROCKY WOOD RETURN ENGAGEMENT

He will welcome questions and small talk, and would be pleased to view any memorabilia relating to Stephen King.

Call Dot Smith at 353-8510, or e-mail Bill Barr at bbarr27@roadrunner.com for more info. No charge, and the public is welcome.

Excerpts from Rocky Wood interview on Tabula-Rasa.

"TR: And then there's Stephen King country... You have visited Maine a couple of times. How do the locals react to your research?

RW: I've now been five times – I last got there in March last year; and I'm back there in July, doing some lobster fishing, touristing, working on a new book, and catching up with my many Mainer friends.

I've made some wonderful friends there – some of those who I originally met on my research, like Marsha DeFilippo (SK's personal assistant) and Stu and Penney Tinker (of Betts Bookshop), I regard as close personal friends. We spend more time talking about other subjects than we do about SK when we get together!

I've found that people in Bangor and Orono (SK's papers are at the University of Maine there) are always happy to talk about SK, and particularly to tell you of he and Tabitha's generosity; and to share their own anecdotes of coming across him around town.

When I did my research in Lisbon Falls and Durham (where Steve grew up in his teenage years) all the people in the area were very friendly and helpful. SK is regarded very well there and has contributed in many ways to their communities (for instance, funding a children's library). Of course, I am interested in his work and his inspirations and I don't deal with personal questions – I'm not interested in gossip, or trying to pry into his 'life' – biography if you will. So, I think that helps. The people at the Lisbon Historical Society (who I mention in Stephen King: The Non-Fiction) are truly wonderful and have helped my long-distance research on many occasions. Dot and Bill are wonderful – Bill will even drive half way across the State to check things in libraries and so on, for which I am mightily grateful."

Worry about global cooling, not warming

Global warming ended three years ago. We are now entering a 27-year solar cycle of global cooling.

The temperature of the earth is determined solely by the amount of energy obtained from the sun. We just came out of Solar Cycle 23, where global warming occurred. We are entering Solar Cycle 24, where expected cooling will be much more severe than the past. The yearly average of sunspots, from 1991 through 2007, was 1,361. Through September 2008 only 56 sunspots occurred. This solar cycle will be the weakest in centuries. A similar cycle brought on the Little Ice Age.

NASA announced in September 2008 that the solar wind is the lowest in recorded history, global cooling is due to decrease in sun spot activity.

Evidence from NASA Microwave Sounding Unit and Hadley Climate Research Unit (Mauna Loa Observatory, Hawaii) offers irrefutable scientific evidence that the earth is now in a period of global cooling. The earth temperatures decreased 0.7 of 1 percent during the last three years. Thirty-one thousand (31,000) climate scientists according to the International Climate Conference have signed a petition rejecting global warming.

During the past winter of 2008-09, 1,500 new record low temperatures were set, along with 700 snow records; 179 glaciers around the world are advancing at record rate.

With scientific evidence being reported around the world, Congress, the news media, and the European Union are still proclaiming global warming, while, in fact, global cooling is now in effect.

Moo'ving Down To The Farm, On Out To The Barn

America's Heartland Website

The Seed

A successful business man was growing old and knew it was time to choose a successor to take over the business.

Instead of choosing one of his Directors or his children, he decided to do something different. He called all the young executives in his company together.

He said, "It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO. I have decided to choose one of you." The young executives were shocked, but the boss continued. “I am going to give each one of you a SEED today - one very special SEED. I want you to plant the seed, water it, and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from the seed I have given you. I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be the next CEO."

One man, named Jim , was there that day and he, like the others, received a seed. He went home and excitedly, told his wife the story. She helped him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted the seed. Everyday, he would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After about three weeks, some of the other executives began to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow.

Jim kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew.

Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still nothing.

By now, others were talking about their plants, but Jim didn't have a plant and he felt like a failure.

Six months went by - still nothing in Jim 's pot. He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Jim didn't say anything to his colleagues, however. He just kept watering and fertilizing the soil - he so wanted the seed to grow.

A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company brought their plants to the CEO for inspection.

Jim told his wife that he wasn't going to take an empty pot. But she asked him to be honest about what happened. Jim felt sick to his stomach, it was going to be the most embarrassing moment of his life, but he knew his wife was right. He took his empty pot to the board room. When Jim arrived, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by the other executives. They were beautiful - in all shapes and sizes. Jim put his empty pot on the floor and many of his colleagues laughed, a few felt sorry for him!

When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young executives. Jim just tried to hide in the back. "My, what great plants, trees, and flowers you have grown," said the CEO. "Today one of you will be appointed the next CEO!"

All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with his empty pot. He ordered the Financial Director to bring him to the front. Jim was terrified. He thought, "The CEO knows I'm a failure! Maybe he will have me fired!"

When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened to his seed - Jim told him the story.

The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim . He looked at Jim , and then announced to the young executives, "Behold your next Chief Executive Officer!

His name is Jim !" Jim couldn't believe it. Jim couldn't even grow his seed.

"How could he be the new CEO?" the others said.

Then the CEO said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone in this room a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it, and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds; they were dead - it was not possible for them to grow.

All of you, except Jim , have brought me trees and plants and flowers. When you found that the seed would not grow, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Jim was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new Chief Executive Officer!"

A Soldier's Take On Michael Jackson's Death

This is written by a young soldier serving his third tour of duty in Iraq. Thought you might find his take on the Michael Jackson news interesting and he's right.

Okay, I need to rant.

I was just watching the news, and I caught part of a report on Michael Jackson. As we all know, Jackson died the other day. He was an entertainer who performed for decades. He made millions, he spent millions, and he did a lot of things that make him a villain to many people. I understand that his death would affect a lot of people, and I respect those people who mourn his death, but that isn't the point of my rant.
Why is it that when ONE man dies, the whole of America loses their minds with grief. When a man dies whose only contribution to the country was to ENTERTAIN people, the American people find the need to flock to a memorial in Hollywood, and even Congress sees the need to hold a "moment of silence" for his passing?
Am I missing something here? ONE man dies, and all of a sudden he's a freaking martyr because he entertained us for a few decades? What about all those SOLDIERS who have died to give us freedom? All those Soldiers who, knowing that they would be asked to fight in a war, still raised their hands and swore to defend the Constitution and the United States of America. Where is their moment of silence? Where are the people flocking to their graves or memorials and mourning over them because they made the ultimate sacrifice? Why is it when a Soldier dies, there are more people saying "good riddence," and "thank God for IEDs?" When did this country become so calloused to the sacrifice of GOOD MEN and WOMEN, that they can arbitrarily blow off their deaths, and instead, throw themselves into mourning for a "Pop Icon?"
I think that if they are going to hold a moment of silence IN CONGRESS for Michael Jackson, they need to hold a moment of silence for every service member killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. They need to PUBLICLY recognize every life that has been lost so that the American people can live their callous little lives in the luxury and freedom that WE,
those that are living and those that have gone on, have provided for them. But, wait, that would take too much time, because there have been so many willing to make that sacrifice. After all, we will never make millions of dollars. We will never star in movies, or write hit songs that the world will listen too. We only shed our blood, sweat and tears so that people can enjoy what they have.
Sorry if I have offended, but I needed to say it. Remember these five words the next time you think of someone
who is serving in the military;
"So that others may live..."

Is There Another Disaster Coming?

Subject: Another disaster coming? Contingency plans?
To: stu@glennbeck.com

I received a letter today from the doctor who treats my Prostate cancer, advising , he plans on retiring if the Health Reform becomes a fact. This is no threat, he's a wealthy man and doesn't need the grief that could be coming. What happens to the millions of people undergoing treatment at the time the Bill, if passed, takes effect How could they possibly complete any kind of transition which would not create a disasterous mess.Is everyone kicked out of hospitals and told to come back when the Pelosi/Obama duo sets your appointment. How many Doctors, Medical Professionals who don't want to work under a socialistic system?`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````

We're told that every effort will be made to dry up any available funds to pay for the system since Obama promised us it will not place any further burden on us and that it will pay for itself. How nice! What happens if there is another Katrina, a major earthquake, floods; remember, these have taken place in recent years. Where would that money come from? Nowhere! It's evaporated.

There's nothing left so Obama will ask for the whole USA volunteer to look for dead bodies? and send money Thanks for your time. I like what Glenn does and would like to hear his comments, since no one else seems to care.
