Bernanke to Invent New Term for Printing MoneyWhen the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) reported their latest consumer price index (CPI) inflation data last week, everybody in the mainstream media worked tirelessly to spin the data in order to proclaim that U.S. price inflation is not a problem. Most articles in the media reported that inflation slowed in May due to falling gas prices. The truth is, gas prices rose last month and U.S. price inflation is spiraling out of control.Price inflation based on the CPI on a year-over-year basis rose during the month of May to 3.57%, up from 3.16% in April, 2.68% in March, 2.11% in February, 1.63% in January, 1.5% in December, and 1.1% in November. The official rate of price inflation has more than tripled over the past 6 months. Yes, maybe the rate of year-over-year price inflation rose by slightly less in May over April, than it did in April over March, but this isn't good news at all. This U.S. dollar is still rapidly losing its purchasing power and the rate at which it is declining in purchasing power is accelerating. On an unadjusted basis, gas prices rose 3.6% in the month of May. The media is reporting gas prices based on the BLS's seasonal adjustments. Only with the BLS's deceptive seasonal adjustments did gas prices decline by 2% in the month of May. The BLS's seasonal adjustments will actually reverse starting in the month of July and add to reported gasoline prices. NIA predicts that come August when the BLS releases its July CPI report, the media will begin focusing on unadjusted gasoline prices because the unadjusted gain will be less than the adjusted one. The media always reports the data that supports their agenda and ignores the data that works against it.The media is obviously just saying what the U.S. government wants them to say. Larry Summers, a Keynesian economist who served for 5 years last decade as President of Harvard and was up until late-2010 director of President Obama's White House National Economic Council, just said last week that, "the underlying rate of inflation is still trending downwards". The media's favorite economist Paul Krugman, a Keynesian who has an op-ed column in the New York Times, said last week that, "There’s really nothing here to shake my view that deflation, not inflation, is the threat."Krugman, who has been calling for massive price deflation the whole entire time that NIA has been predicting massive price inflation, is refusing to admit he has been wrong and is telling all Americans to ignore rapidly rising food and energy prices because he claims they are too volatile. He is telling the world to focus solely on the core CPI, which ignores food and energy, the two items that Americans need most to live and survive. Core CPI is weighed heavily by rents and America's Real Estate bubble still isn't done deflating. The only purpose of having a core CPI is for Keynesian economists like Krugman to use it to mislead Americans and deceive them into believing that inflation is not a problem.Core CPI was an invention of the Nixon administration, which right there should tell you all you need to know about it. President Nixon's idea for creating core CPI, was to deceive Americans about price inflation by excluding the items that were rising the most, which he would justify by calling these items "too volatile". NIA has predicted from the very beginning that inflation will not effect all goods and services equally and that as inflation begins to spiral out of control, inflation would gravitate most towards the prices of the items that Americans need the most, and there is nothing that Americans need more than food and agricultural products, and to a lesser extent energy.Whenever the mainstream media reports about global inflation and they show a map of the world, the map always shows massive inflation in Middle Eastern and Asian countries, with the U.S. having the least price inflation. The truth is, inflation in Middle Eastern and Asian countries isn't many times worse than the U.S., it is just that their governments are many times more honest and aren't as advanced in manipulating economic statistics as our government is. While all of the headlines from major American news organizations about U.S. inflation said last week that inflation is slowing and not a problem, those same news organizations wrote articles about Chinese inflation being at a new 34-month high of 5.5%. The fact is, official U.S. price inflation is also at its highest level in nearly three years and our real price inflation rate is actually higher than China's reported rate of price inflation.Based on the BLS's CPI, year-over-year U.S. price inflation in the month of May of 3.57% was the highest year-over-year price inflation rate since October of 2008, right before the global financial crisis. If it wasn't for the global financial crisis of late-2008/early-2009 and the world's mistake of liquidating real assets and hoarding fiat U.S. dollars as a safe haven, it is likely that the official rate of U.S. price inflation would already be in the double-digits today. NIA estimates the real rate of U.S. price inflation, minus geometric weighting and hedonics, to currently be approximately 7.5% on a year-over-year basis. It is possible that the real U.S. price inflation rate will reach double digits in the second half of 2011. That will be devastating to the U.S. economy because at that point it will just about guarantee that the Federal Reserve will have to raise the federal funds rate to north of 10% by the middle of this decade. The Federal Reserve's balance sheet just reached a brand new record of $2.832 trillion, up from $2.815 trillion in the prior week, as we approach the end of QE2 at the end of June. The stock market is already anticipating the end of QE2 with the Dow Jones currently down over 900 points from its high at the end of April. The declining stock market is pretty much sowing the seeds for a QE3. After all, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke doesn't want to see the phony U.S. economic recovery blow up in smoke.Bernanke will do everything possible to disguise QE3 and will never admit to there being a QE3. Remember, this is the same Federal Reserve Chairman who lied to every single American on '60 Minutes' when he said, "We're not printing money." That is exactly what QE2 is, printing money, but just like how Bernanke won't admit to printing money, Bernanke is now going to retire the term "quantitative easing" and come up with a new term for the Fed's latest destructive policy of creating massive monetary inflation. It is important to spread the word about NIA to as many people as possible, as quickly as possible, if you want America to survive hyperinflation. Please tell everybody you know to become members of NIA for free immediately at: http://inflation.us

If the Titanic sank today, here's how the President, the media and Wall Street would spin it (satire)
Monday, June 20, 2011
by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger
Editor of NaturalNews.com (See all articles...)
(NaturalNews) What would all the world's experts and authorities say today if the Titanic were sinking but nobody was willing to admit it? The U.S. economy, after all, is sinking and taking on an unprecedented volume of water (i.e. debt), yet virtually no one is willing to admit the obvious fact that this ship is sinking. And much like with the Titanic, most "experts" continue to claim the U.S. economy is unsinkable, despite the obvious evidence that we might want to start heading for the life rafts.
So in the spirit of comedy -- which is, after all, what we are witnessing in Washington these days -- imagine The Titanic hitting an iceberg in 2011, followed by a string of experts all trying to spin the story their own way. Here's what they might say:
The White House Press Secretary: The iceberg was placed in the Atlantic ocean by Osama Bin Laden.
The chemist: That's not an iceberg. It's merely solid-state di-hydrogen oxide.
Al Gore: That iceberg wouldn't have even been there if the polar caps weren't melting.
The Congressman: Quick, let's pass a new law that says ships shall not sink.
President Obama: The Titanic isn't sinking. It's merely engaged in "aquatic action."
Former President Bush: Icebergs are weapons of mass destruction planted in the ocean by terrorists. We must avenge the iceberg terrorists!
The Pentagon: We will equalize the hole in one side of the ship by blowing a matching hole in the other side.
The TSA inspector: You're not allowed onto a lifeboat until we check your anus for explosives.
The Cancer Doctor: We can't fix the hole in the ship, but through the miracle of chemotherapy, we can make you suffer so much that you won't care.
The Wall Street investment banker: Don't worry, the Fed will bail out all the water we're taking on. The Titanic is too big to fail.
The teenage girl: Can I still text on my iPhone under water?
Congressman Weiner: Yes you can, and by the way, here's a very special "going away" message for you to remember me by.
Average Joe: Is the ship's buffet still open?
The FDA: We believe the ship is sinking because of an e.coli infection that spread from the galley.
The CDC: Everybody should get vaccinated before the ship sinks, just in case there's a shark-flu virus in the water.
The New Ager: There is no hole in the ship unless you believe there is a hole in the ship.
The Academic: I have published a paper that proves this ship is unsinkable. Would anyone like to read it? Please?
The Catholic priest: I think we should save all the children first. Which lifeboat are they on again?
The Journalist: The Titanic has a hole in its side, but official sources tell us it's only "aquatic action" and there's no cause for alarm. And we believe them.
The Federal Reserve: We have decided to dump more water onto the ship in the hope of making it float.
The Federal Government: Hey, these deck chairs look pretty nice. Let's rearrange them!
The Doctor: We need to order a couple dozen CT scans of the ship's null and bill them to Medicare before we have any idea at all what to do.
The Denialist: Stop talking about negative things. Stay focused on the positive and you won't need a life vest.
The Realist: This ship is going down, folks. You might want to think about taking action to keep yourself alive.
The Gullible Masses: Don't worry, this ship is unsinkable.
Even if it did sink, there are plenty of lifeboats.
Even if there aren't enough lifeboats, we all have life jackets.
Even if we don't have enough life jackets, the government will come save us.

Maine Recycling Corporation Retaliates on Whistleblower Employee with Firing
Investigator says whistleblower fired in retaliation
By Christopher Williams, Staff WriterJun 20, 2011
A former driver for Maine Recycling Corp. claims the Lisbon Falls company fired him because he blew the whistle on their violations of transportation laws.
Dell Briggs of Lisbon filed a complaint with the Maine Human Rights Commission in Augusta over his alleged unfair termination. An agency investigator sided with Briggs and recommended to the agency that there were "reasonable grounds to believe that discrimination has occurred."
Under Maine law, employers are prohibited from retaliating against workers by firing, threatening or otherwise discriminating against them when those workers, acting in good faith, report to their employers or a public body what the workers reasonably believe is a violation of law or rule adopted under state law.
Briggs said he complained to MHRC that the company was breaking Department of Transportation laws when it told him he had to drive a 48-foot-long trailer more than 15 hours without break to Machias. The law requires drivers to keep log books when driving outside the 100-mile radius from the recycling center, the investigator's report said.http://www.sunjournal.com/city/story/1048147
Briggs said, "I told management on multiple occasions that I was not comfortable driving some of the routes they sent me on because I believed they were not legal," he said. He also told the company's management that he thought the DOT would be interested in knowing of the illegal routes the company directed some of the drivers to travel.
Uh Oh! ? ? ? This is very interesting. Considering MRC has an "IN" with the Lisbon Police Department, We are wondering how Lisbon Police Chief David T. Brooks and his "Goon Squad" are going to "Fly Cover" on this one.

This year marks the 100th Anniversary of Naval Aviation. From time to time we will share information as it is presented to us. Recently the Brunswick Naval Air Station, a landmark of Maine, was turned over for civilian use. Times past of seeing large and small Naval aircraft soaring over the local skies are just memories now, except for the occasional pass of one. The following two clips give an insight into 'just what it takes' for the operation of aircraft on a very unstable landing platform, the U.S. Carrier. Watch and learn what valuable skills these Exceptional Men & Women of our Armed Forces nurture, perfect, and maintain to basically land a multi-ton piece of equipment on something like a postage stamp in the middle of nowhere. And then, when you think you have that all mastered try doing at night.

Here's Your Chance Lisbon Residents To Voice Your Concerns, Before the Budget is passed and Tax Bills go out!
Come

Come

and watch your hard earned money go to excessive spending by the Town
Manager and our Town Council. On Tuesday evening, June 21, 2011, at
7:00 PM, the Town Council will vote and approve the proposed budget
presented to them by the Town Manager. This budget has an enormous
amount of excessive spending. Here is a listing of some of the
issues (not in any order of priority):
- 3.65% increase in the Town Manager secretary’s pay for “adjustment for job duties”. What are these additional duties?
- 103.89% increase for the Town Manager and his Secretary for “Professional Development”. What is the training?
- Why are the Fire Chief and the Recreation Department Director going to receive a $10,000.00 increase in their salary? According to my calculator, this is more than the 1.75% everyone else is receiving.
- Under the Town Clerk, R & M Equipment the town spent $84.81 in 2010 and $502.00 in 2011 but the Town Manager has budgeted $2,400.00. There are approximately 50 line items which are all the same. The proposed budget is heavily padded.
- Under the Animal Control Officer, Gas, is increased 85.42%. The notation reads “due to additional Town to patrol”. Why isn’t the other town paying for this additional gas?
- Under the Town Engineer, this salary is $37,428.00. The notation reads “Town Engineer’s Salary @ 50%. Why is this only half of his salary? Is it because the other have is under Public Works/Solid Waste?
- Under 70-700 Economic Development there is $54,418.00 proposed by the Town Manager and $109,157.00 by the Elected. The Town of Lisbon has a State of Maine approval to pay for the Economic Development from the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) from Dingley Press. Why are any monies being allotted for the support of the Economic Development Department at all?
- Under last year’s budget of $7,683,181.66 the town has spent approximately $6 million plus. Where is the other million plus going? I do not see it accounted for in this year’s budget.
I
cannot believe the Town Manager is going to submit this proposal to
the Town Council for a vote. But what is more important is the Town
Council will rubber stamp this proposed budget with a vote of 6-1.
If
you check out the Town of Lisbon web site under Agenda you will find
the agenda for Tuesday meeting. If you go under Agenda you will find
agenda documents and handouts and there is no proposed budget. There
is the proposed Council Working Rules but no proposed budget.
I guess they do not want you to have an opportunity to review the
proposed budget.
IT
IS CRITICAL THE RESIDENTS OF LISBON WHO WANT A SAY IN HOW THE TOWN
MANAGER AND THE TOWN COUNCIL SPENDS THEIR MONEY; TUESDAY NIGHT WILL
BE THE ONLY TIME YOU WILL HAVE BEFORE THE VOTE. COME SEE HOW THE
TOWN COUNCIL VOTES ON THIS BUDGET. THIS WILL CLEARLY DEMONSTRATE
WHICH COUNCILORS HAVE THE BEST INTEREST OF THE TOWN OF LISBON AT
HEART.

The town is really fortunate to have this business located right in
the heart of Huston Park housing development. This trucking company
has several tractor trailers (18 wheelers) parked on both Scottsdale
Avenue and Dumas Street. In fact, on 4 June 2011, there were 4
tractor trailers parked at 10 Scottsdale Avenue. This is the
residence of Town Councilor Lori Pomelow and her husband David. I
contacted the Code Enforcement Officer to see if Mrs. Pomelow has
approval to operate a business out of her residence. There was no
Conditional Use application on file at the Code Enforcement Office.
These
tractor trailers roaming through Huston Park housing area are a safety
issue. There are no sidewalks in the housing area so pedestrians
have no place to walk because these rigs are so large. The housing
area has a large population of kids playing; now school is out.
These kids are put at risk because these tractor trailers cannot stop
on a dime. We have been very fortunate no one has been hurt by these
large vehicles.
The
streets in this housing area are not paved to withstand the weight of
these tractor trailers. In fact, Wing Street has been posted for
years. Mrs. Pomelow, as a councilor, should be aware of the town
ordinances even if someone has stolen the signs. These large vehicles
come through the housing area fully loaded and park on these streets.
Some of these streets are breaking up and will need repairing. Who
do you think is going to pay for these repairs? I guarantee you it
will not be the Pomelow Transport Trucking Company. It will be the
Town of Lisbon.
Editorial note: Ah Larry, Scotsdale Avenue has recently been rebuilt because of damage directly and officially attributed to be caused by the operation of tractor trailers on that street. The Lisbon Taxpayers paid dearly to have it rebuilt. It was all done under the guise and blessings of Lisbon Public Works Director at that time Buttons Beal and the Interim Town Manager, Lisbon Police Chief David T. Brooks and the then Town Council. In Fact that property was basically a Junk Yard before Lori Pomelow ran for her seat as a Town Councilor. It was only in the last few years, that it was cleaned up, so to speak, so that SHE could run as Town Councilor and not be embarrassed with the Mess. GOD forbid they oblige by the rules or have the decency for their neighbors or neighborhood.
AND what about the current 'Imposter' as a Town Manager, Stephen Eldridge for letting this continue. Says much about him now doesn't it?
I
am truly amazed the Town of Lisbon allows a councilor to operate a
business out of their residence. But what is even more disturbing is
the fact none of these tractor trailers are ticketed by the Lisbon
Police Department for violation of the Wing Street posting. I hope
they do not think these large rigs were helicoptered in.
Pomelow Transport has been in business since October 6, 2000 and no one
has bothered to bring this out. I know many residents have made
complaints about these tractor trailers being in the Huston Park
housing area.
These residents were assured by Police Chief David T. Brooks that he would look into it and take care of it.
Does being a Town of Lisbon Councilor have special
benefits which allow them to disregard the town ordnances? Are they
protected by the Police Department or who?
I
believe this needs to be addressed immediately and a stop put to
councilors receiving special benefits which allow them to violate
ours ordinances. No one should be able to put our children at risk
needlessly in order to make a buck. Operating a business in a
residential area requires an Application for Conditional Use approved
by the Planning Board.
There
is another councilor; Mrs. Gina Mason whose husband applied for
Conditional Use to operate an excavation business from his residence
and was approved by the Planning Board on March 24, 2011. This
application for Conditional Use was approved by a vote of 4-0 without
any conditions. How do you have an Application for Conditional Use
be approved without any conditions? Does this mean the business can
do anything it wants to do regardless of any town ordnances or state
laws?
But Larry, Gina was a councilor for 3 years and did nothing about it until very recently. She must have been spending too much time with Rosie Bradley promoting stuff and Economically Developing the Worumbo Mill for Resale. AND how many of those buildings have already been torn down? Plane and Simple, GINA MASON doesn't GET IT, never has and never will. BUT she will be the first to tell you that she does. In Fact so plane, she had to make up her own certificates of achievement and then find willing councilors to sign them at the last "ATTA BOY, er GIRL CEREMONY they all had for themselves.
This
is yet another example of special benefits for Town of Lisbon
Councilors.

Augusta lawmakers trade insurance caps for human lives
June
17, 2011. Recent revelations of the appropriations process for the
state budget exposed the reinstatement of Governor LePage’s proposed
$300,000 cut to Planned Parenthood. It should enrage Maine citizens
that this cut was used as a bargaining chip to get Democrats to back off
of their concerns regarding medical insurance. Yes
indeed, pull the curtain back in Augusta and you see men and women
sitting at a table trading insurance caps for human lives.
“Whether
or not we are in legislative session, pro-life supporters will let
their voices be heard. They will call on legislators in Augusta to
defend life and defund Planned Parenthood,” said Carroll Conley, Jr.,
Executive Director of the Christian Civic League.
As
disgusted as the Christian Civic League of Maine is with these
negotiations, we turn our ire where it really belongs—Planned
Parenthood—America’s number one abortion provider. Nearly 25% of all
abortions performed in the U.S. are performed in Planned Parenthood
clinics. Don’t let anyone tell you that Planned Parenthood is not about
abortions. According to the Chiarosuro Foundation report of March
2011, nearly 37% of all Planned Parenthood’s revenues are abortion
generated.
The
fact that a woman’s right to an abortion is presently protected by The
Supreme Court does not in any way necessitate that our tax dollars
should fund that right. The argument that tax funding of Planned
Parenthood reduces the number of abortions is bogus. According to a
Susan B Anthony List press release in April, taxpayer funding for
Planned Parenthood increased 80% from 2000 to 2009. In that same period
abortions increased by 69%. By the way, those same years saw a 61%
decrease in adoption referrals by our friends at Planned Parenthood.
What
about the thousands of impoverished women who depend on Planned
Parenthood for primary care services like mammograms? Planned
Parenthood admits in its own reports that it gives primary care to less
than 1% of its clients. There are plenty of other qualified health
centers that provide needed care to women in need in Maine.
Recent
news reports around the country have unmasked Planned Parenthood as an
enemy of parents raising minor children. Despite existing laws
requiring clinicians to report sexual abuse, Planned Parenthood workers
have been caught again and again assuring individuals, posing as
underage females, they can receive contraception and/or abortion
services without parental consent or notifications. In the state of
Maine, any sexual contact with someone under 15 years old is considered
abuse and must be reported.
If you think this is occurring only in New Jersey and Delaware, think again. Go to www.childpredators.com
and search for tapes 701 and 800 to hear (or read transcripts of) phone
calls with workers from Maine Women’s Clinic and Mable Wadsworth Clinic
here in Bangor. Someone posing as a 13 year old girl with a 22 year
old boyfriend is told time and again, contraception services can be
obtained without legal reprisals for the 22 year old boyfriend.
Many
politicians are still way too easily influenced by the deceit and
intimidation of Planned Parenthood and the Maine Civil Liberties Union.
They are also out of touch with the typical parent who is astounded by
the fact that their child can’t get an aspirin in school without their
permission, but the same student is encouraged to get contraception and
abortions without parental consent or notification.
This
battle is not over. A recent CNN poll (certainly not a bastion of
conservative journalism) revealed that over 60% of Americans oppose tax
dollars going to fund abortions. More and more young people are
recognizing the hollowness of the pro-death culture and are turning to
the truth of defending the dignity of life.

From Russia With Love, A Teardrop
A video about the amazing memorial to the victims of 9-11, erected in Bayonne, New Jersey, by the people and government of Russia. This monumental memorial was dedicated on September 11, 2006, on the fifth anniversary of the terrorist attacks of 9-11-01. If this is the first time that you're hearing about this memorial...join the club. While our own government has been mired in political controversy for the past seven years, and has done little to honor the thousands who died on 9-11-01, the Russians have done, what we're apparently too partisan to do...honor our dead in a dramatic and meaningful way.

(NaturalNews) In the history of human vaccines, the numbers clearly show that in every case, the disease itself was already on the decline when the vaccine was introduced. Most vaccines were scarcely a blip on the radar, not affecting the natural decline of the disease at all. In a few unfortunate cases such as polio, the disease actually increased after vaccinations began.
For example, when people contract measles, their overall immune system is strengthened in response to the mild challenge of this disease. (Death as a consequence of measles is generally seen only in undernourished populations.) When doctors started routinely vaccinating children against measles, we started to see babies who contracted measles at a dangerously early age because their vaccinated mothers were not able to pass on immunity to them. And what was the medical community's solution to this dilemma? Vaccinate infants for measles even earlier!
Remember that humans are vaccinated only a few times in their lives, (although we can certainly see that Big Pharma is trying their best to see to it that this changes) whereas animals are so treated once or twice a year for their entire life. Most people with chronically ill animals believe the animals were already sick when they got them, but often we can trace their problems to the time of vaccination (or to their parents having been vaccinated). It's true that vaccinosis (a condition which refers to a chronic disease pattern occurring after vaccination) does not afflict all vaccinated animals; some are lucky enough to have very strong immune systems. But if you or your animals have ever been affected by it, you'll never forget it. You take a risk every time you allow your animals, your children, or yourself to be vaccinated unnecessarily. Remember, it's your decision, unless the laws in your state complicate your freedom of choice.
Vaccines do not work all the time. In both human and veterinary medicine, there are many recorded instances of no immunity developing, or of so-called "vaccine breaks" occurring, whereby the stimulation of antibodies isn't sufficient to protect against the natural disease. Conventional medicine claims those are body faults and problems. There does appear to be a genetic component to which animals may have trouble responding to a vaccine, however, giving a nonresponding animal more vaccines is unlikely to force an appropriate immune response, and it certainly can cause more problems.
Vaccination has become a highly charged subject in the news media of late and both doctors and individuals who challenge the concept are most often treated as if they were lepers. Entire reputations of certain individuals have been disgraced for their challenge of the vaccine issue. The facts are clear however in veterinary medicine that the way vaccines are typically used today are extremely dangerous and potentially one of the most harmful things we could do to our animals.

The Facts of War, America's Four Wars, Wait, the gov't says Not, therefore we aren't, Right?
Fox News sounding like Brasscheck TVEndless, undeclared war not a good idea? Duh.
Go figure
We told you a few months ago that the "humanitarian action" in Libya was a total fraud. We were against the Iraq War for very detailed strategic and tactical reasons (not to mention the moral ones.) We've pointed out that whatever we're doing in Afghanistan has more to do with controlling the heroin business than anything else.
Now at least one mainstream news channel is starting to ask some questions about the US policy of numberless, endless wars.
Is this just arch-scumbag Fox News Roger Ailes busting Obama's chops?
Or has Fox figured they lost the war market to CNN and trying to grab more market share?
If Bush Jr. were doing these things, I have a feeling Fox News would turn them into a sacrament.

Editor's note:
Just where are our so called Political Leaders?
Don't be alarmed, they are all together out lining their own pockets.
The care and concern for you the voting constituent is not their Top Concern. When they want your Vote, they will come out and tell you everything you want to hear to get it. And you will vote the best liar in. Case in point, our current Puppet in the White House for starters.
Fact is they are all puppets.
Politics in America has been turned into a 'cash cow' for them at our expense.
The majority are only serving their own self interests. You have to search 'high 'n low' for someone who isn't. And it doesn't matter where you are looking either. LOCAL, STATE or NATIONAL
greed has overcome good conscience.
And it doesn't matter whether you are Democrat or Republican, both parties are a complete failure of Our Founding Fathers vision.
The Constitution & Bill of Rights have been cast aside for a "Change" in the vision of our leaders, (term only).
Our politicos are only looking for the next best camera, handshake, or baby kissing opportunity. The Main Stream Media is nurturing the whole stage of events. Well hang on cause you are going to have two summers once again with the hype and roadsides being littered with campaign garbage.
Meanwhile, we have flooded farmers, tornado ravaged midlands, unrelenting fires in the southwest, homeless, hungry Americans and we are pumping Billions of our tax dollars overseas as WE ALL are facing merciful prices for food, gas, health insurance, etc.
Way to Go America!
Another local example is the recent vote in Lisbon and most others for that matter. It is really SAD that only 10% of the registered Voters bother to go out and cast a vote that the rest will have to live with. Just wondering if that means many others feel it is not worth the effort or have lost faith in America's political voting process.
It doesn't seem to matter that so many voiced their support for a chance to vote on the Town Budget. Nor does it seem to matter that no other councilor will step up and support this request with Councilor Cote and move it to referendum like the town charter allows. No Lisbon, you are merely pawns in a "Culture of Corruption in Local Governance" and seem to enjoy it.
Yeah, I've Got $um Moxie!

Now here's an ad you won't find in American Main Stream Media anytime soon
In the United Kingdom and Ireland it is the most popular TV commercial playing.Muslim culture Meets German Engineering
Looks like VW is still putting out a fine product.
They could never get away with this advertisement in the U.S.
People apparently call in to learn the schedules for showing this commercial.

NASA releases new Family/Personal Preparedness for their personnel
A major initiative has been placed on Family/Personal Preparedness for all NASA personnel. The NASA Family/Personal Preparedness Program is designed to provide awareness, resources, and tools to the NASA Family (civil servants and contractors) to prepare for an emergency situation. The most important assets in the successful completion of NASA’s mission are our employees’ and their families. We are taking the steps to prepare our workforce, but it is your personal obligation to prepare yourself and your families for emergencies.
Listen to Administrator Bolden’s thoughts on why it’s important that we “know our stuff” and “be prepared”.

Just What Is Going On In The World?

Puyehue-Cordon Caulle volcanic chain, about 575 miles south of the capital, Santiago Chile
Several Latin American countries in the path of volcanic ash unleashed from a Chilean Andean crater are facing critical shortages of water, agricultural collapse, disruptions in transportation and growing risks to human and animal health. Toxic ash clouds, seen to be dispersing toward Australia, have dumped the powdery substance across vast swathes of territory in Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. And it blowing all the way around the southern hemisphere!
Qantas has cancelled Tasmania and New Zealand flights after warnings from the Australian and NZ Volcanic Ash Advisory Centres (VAAC), with flights from Hobart, Christchurch and Queenstown to Melbourne and Sydney affected. Chilean volcano Puyehue-Cordón Caulle continues to throw an ash cloud into the southern hemisphere, which has now circled the globe and threatens to affect more flights. Passengers to other airports on New Zealand’s South Island and lower North Island are also likely to be affected, with ash cloud predictions from the Wellington VAAC also covering Wellington. Ash is forecast at 20,000-35,000 feet across the entire South Island and much of the southern North Island, including the capital, Wellington.
