According to legal documents obtained by The Philadelphia Inquirer, El-Shabazz declares himself ‘perfect candidate’ for DA, despite tax debts.
Tariq El-Shabazz repeatedly told a supportive crowd gathered in a Chestnut Hill bar Monday that he has flaws but is still their best option for Philadelphia district attorney.
El-Shabazz, who recently resigned as first assistant district attorney, carefully laid out his plans if elected to the job. But he continued to dodge most questions about the $190,712 in federal, state, and city tax lien judgments on file against him in Common Pleas Court.

RECAP TOWN COUNCIL MEETING – FEBRUARY 21ST

This is a brief summary of Town Council meeting held on February 21, 2017. I believe this Council meeting was critical for the future of Lisbon and I encourage each and every member of this community to review the meeting on Friday at 07:00 PM. Also, it is available on the town web site.

Under Good News & Recognition:

1. Lisbon Cheerleaders Proclamation – The Town Council recognized the Lisbon Cheerleading Squad for winning the Maine State Competition.

2. Spirit of America Award – The Council awarded this to the Route 196 Master Plan Subcommittee.

3. Presentation to Outgoing Councilor Metivier – Chairman Ward gave a present to Former Councilor Eric Metivier for his service to the community.

Under Public Hearing - ECD Director provided a slide presentation outlining the Amendment to the already approved Kelly Park TIF.

Under Council Orders, Resolutions & Ordinances –

1. Healthy Androscoggin Grant Award – The Council approve by a vote of 7-0 to accept $600.00 grant.

2. Kelly Park TIF District – The Council tabled this action under everything could be ironed out.

3. USDA Rural Development Funding Application – The Council approve by a vote of 7-0 to apply for this funding.

4. Dispatch Consolidation Discussion – The Council voted by a vote of 4-3 to retain the Lisbon Communication Center. Please review the video for specifics.

5. ATRC Project – The Council approved this project by a vote of 7-0.

Under Appointments – Mr. James Lemieux was appointed Water Commissioner to replace the late Mr. Bill Bauer.

A new Jersey middle school has no problem teaching Islam to its students, but has censored students for bringing up the Bible.
Two mothers spoke up about their children’s experiences in at a Chatham Board of Education meeting in February. One of them, Nancy Gayer, voiced displeasure that her son’s fourth grade PowerPoint presentation from years ago was shut down because it briefly cited a line from the Bible in advertising for his efforts to gather gloves and hats for poor children. Gayer said that the teacher told her son that it “belongs in Sunday school, not in the classroom” and proceeded to claim that the computer wouldn’t allow the presentation to be shown to the class.

A large crowd of about 1000 turned out in Times Square on Sunday to hear the Muslim call to prayer and to chant “I am a Muslim!” in protest of the immigration executive orders of President Donald Trump.
The protest had been organized by mogul Russell Simmons, an imam and a rabbi.
Among the “Muslims” in attendance were Susan Sarandon and Chelsea Clinton with her two year old daughter, Charlotte.

According to the policy, enacted on Jan. 19, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will now provide work permits, travel documents, permanent residency cards, refugee documents and Certificates of Naturalization or Citizenship to immigrants based on their gender identity, rather than their biological sex.
Immigrants who already have these documents can petition the government for new ones that reflect their preferred gender. To get a new, updated document, an immigrant must provide a court order or another government-issued I.D. document that reflects their preferred gender (such as a driver’s license, birth certificate or passport). If the immigrant doesn’t have any of these things, the new policy states they can simply bring in a note from their doctor, social worker or counselor verifying their new gender identity.

According to an article from Investor’s Business Daily, Nestle is leaving the state of California and moving to Virginia to get away from the liberal state. Nestle’s headquarters is moving from Glendale, California which is near Los Angeles to Rosslyn, Virginia which is near Washington D.C.
Sticking to it’s ignorant true-self, an official from Glendale, California said that Nestles departure was “no big deal,” and was actually an opportunity for them as the company moves thousands of jobs away from the area.

A man from Mexico that has been deported 19 times in the last six years has been accused of raping a 13-year-old girl on a Greyhound bus. Tomas Martinez-Maldonado was convicted on felony charges of illegally entering the U.S. in 2003, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
According to The Associated Press, the illegal alien, Tomas Martinez-Maldonado, faces felony charges for a Sept. 27 attack on the girl. Police say the Mexican national raped the girl during a bus ride outside of Kansas City.

A New York State Trooper was attempting to pull a car over on Long Island on Wednesday when the situation went horribly awry.
The trooper made the stop because he saw the driver texting while driving. When the officer stopped the car, the driver, 29-year-old Kyheem Kelly became combative when he was told his vehicle would have to be towed because his insurance was suspended. Kelly then assaulted the officer, so the trooper attempted to arrest him. Kelly then sped off at high speed with the officer hanging out of the driver’s side window.

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump said Thursday that he will issue a new executive order on immigration by next week, and Justice Department lawyers asked a federal appeals court to hold off on taking action in the legal battle over his initial travel ban until that order is in place.
In a news conference at the White House, Trump said the new order would “comprehensively protect our country,” and he hinted that it might contain new vetting measures for travelers. Trump’s first order temporarily barred refugees and citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the U.S., ostensibly so officials could review and tighten screening procedures.

According to U.S. intelligence officials, there’s no dispute that the Russians are indeed making great efforts to get close to President Donald Trump and the people around him, whether those targeted know it or not.
The report cites a senior intelligence official who states that the Federal Bureau of Investigations has no evidence of collusion between the Trump aids in question and Russian intelligence services. Furthermore, there’s no evidence that the aids were even aware of the fact that they were speaking to Russian intelligence officers.

Activists from across the country came to save a piece of Mother Earth, but ended up almost killing it. As the cleanup of the protest camp begins, authorities have found enough trash to fill 2,500 pick up trucks.
According to DailyWire: Want to know the damage environmentalists can wreak on an area? Check out these new pictures from North Dakota, where environmentalists protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline left behind such a gargantuan mess near the Cannonball River that ABC News reported, “Local and federal officials estimate there’s enough trash and debris in the camp to fill about 2,500 pickup trucks.” Those trucks will have to haul the trash away before the spring thaw, when it will pollute the Missouri River and other waterways.

Apparently, California Governor Jerry Brown was warned of the failing Oroville Dam 12 years ago!
So instead of putting money towards fixing it, he spent $25 billion a year on illegals instead.
According to Washington Times:

The flood danger from the Oroville Dam receded Monday, but California was hit by a wave of criticism for failing to heed warnings about risks to the spillway at a time when the state spent generously on illegal immigrants and high-speed rail.
