I have been working on the gardens at the gazebo area for hours in the last week, trying to get them looking good for Memorial Day. I planted the large planter across from the high school , including three large and beautiful red and white Dahlia plants. Bill Barr came by and put a flag in the planter.
Then a thief came by and clipped off nearly all the beautiful blossoms to make a bouquet for her/his own pleasure, I guess. So much for honoring our fallen soldiers and loved ones with a nice floral display. Thief, be not proud- your actions are disgraceful. You are probably the same woman who was seen last year helping herself to all the gorgeous red astilbes just as they came into full bloom around the gazebo.
We hope that no one will think its ok to steal from the town gardens and defeat the labors of many volunteers who work on these spots.
