Dave Pelletier is a 51 year old man from Auburn who, in April of 2009, was diagnosed with bone cancer in his leg that has metastasized to other parts of his body. His particular type of cancer requires that he receive his treatment at Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA. He and his wife Nancy have been traveling back and forth since April for the monthly, week-long treatments.
A benefit is being held at the Elks Lodge located at 1675 Lisbon Street in Lewiston on October 9th at 5:00 p.m. There will be a spaghetti supper from 5-7 p.m., 50/50 and raffles. Dave is a local musician and has been a member of several bands over the past 30 years, including Roadhouse, Care, Montana, Stagecoach and is currently the keyboard player for ForeFront, so the benefit would not be complete without entertainment. Musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments and participate in an open jam to start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10.00 and may be purchased in advance or at the door.
Dave is no longer able to work so all proceeds will be presented to Dave and Nancy to help with traveling costs, medical bills and with their monthly financial obligations. All donations (cash or raffle item) are greatly appreciated to help make this benefit a success. All checks may be made out to BENEFIT FOR DAVID PELLETIER.
For more information please contact Julie Plourde at 207-576-6443. Checks can be mailed to Julie Plourde, c/o The Echo Group, PO Box 1328, Auburn, ME 04211-1328.
Thank You.
