JASON
LEVESQUE COMMENTS ON PRESIDENT OBAMA’S REVISED HEALTH CARE BILL
Auburn, Maine –President Obama today announced a revised Health Care proposal demanding passage within two weeks. 2nd District Congressional candidate Jason Levesque released the following statement on the discussion:
“This
proposal is nothing more than a massive spending bill
that does not actually improve the access or cost of health insurance
for most
Mainers. Congressman Michaud, you have repeatedly called yourself a
Blue
Dog Democrat, implying a level of fiscal responsibility in your
beliefs.
If that is true you must stand up to Nancy Pelosi and President Obama
and
reject this legislation. This is not what the people of Maine want.
You cannot spend a trillion dollars and expect to save people money.
Let’s
go back to the drawing board. Getting this bill done quickly does not
mean it will be done properly. Let’s get TORT reform, open up insurance
for
small business pooling and open the state lines so we can truly address
the
problem we have without putting our future generations in debt or
increasing
taxes on struggling families and businesses.”
