Girls Soccer

On Thursday 10/7, Lisbon Sugg middle school girls’ soccer celebrated their second victory in away game in a row, 2x1 against Monmouth. The greyhounds showed great hustle by guarding the victory until the last minute in a game played in a slippery field. Center back and captain Kailyn Hill kept Lisbon’s goal out of the line of fire by kicking several balls out of the defense, and Left Fullback Mikayla Yanez close the left lane for the Mustangs.

Middle fielders fought like warriors to steal the ball from the opponent, including Center midfielder Chandler Riordan and Left midfielder Abby Gamache. Offensive line was constant and effective, including Center forward Ashley Conrad, who scored in the first half her 7th goal in this season after receiving a perfect pass from Left midfielder Abby Gamache, and Right forward Loren Grant, who scored the winning goal in the second half.

Lisbon Sugg middle school girls’ soccer next game is Tuesday, 10/12 at 4:30 pm, a home game against Winthrop.
