Lisbon – On Saturday, September 25, the Lisbon High
School Class of 2014, along with other LHS students and parent volunteers,
participated in the second annual Town of Lisbon Harvest Festival. Thanks
to the numerous donations of stuffed animals from Lisbon School Volunteers and
a Community Partnerships with members of the Lewiston Rotary and Wal-Mart,
Brunswick, students hosted the former Lisbon Rotary famous “Duck
Pond” event for children, and parents alike, to catch a duck and win a
prize. Students also offered Festival goers Mac’s Kettle Corn
and the opportunity to support a local merchant. Proceeds from these two
events will benefit the students in the Class of 2014 with the project
graduation program and other events that are not included in the school
budget.
“The Festival was a huge success,” shares Ross
Cunningham of the Lisbon Promotions Committee, “thanks to combined
efforts of Lisbon Music Boosters, Lisbon High School Class of 2014, Lisbon
Community School PTO, Lisbon Area Christian Outreach Food and Clothing Pantry,
Young Explorers, LHS Drama Club, Brownie Troop 2180, Girl Scout troop 1689, and
members of the Lisbon Promotions Committee.”
