On Thursday 10/27, Lisbon Sugg Middle School girls defeated Winthrop 1x0 at
home. Winthrop did not get the chance to play in our field during most of
the game. Thanks to Chandler Riordan, Skye Cribbin, Sydney Douglas and
Conchita Douglas, Lisbon’s goalkeeper Ali Sult just touched the ball once in
the whole game.
Midfielders once more rocked out the middle, recovering the ball possession
and making several sharp passes to our Forwards, including Abby Gamache, Sam
Bolduc and Kipri Steele. Anna Willey, Kashmir Owen and Shelby Cyr also
helped the Midfielders.
Lisbon’s Forwards just did everything right today. They played aggressively,
showed great passing skills and individual talent, including Hope Morse,
Emma Houle, Makayla Tilley and Katherin George who scored Hound’s only goal
of the game, with assist of Sam Bolduc.
Today’s game was the last game of the season. Sugg girls’ team (6-4-1)
finishes the season with the certainty of having given their best in each
game.
