The PW Sugg Boys began their season with a 0-4 defeat on a very windy
Richmond field. Game play seemed fairly balanced though Greyhound
attempts to bring the ball up the middle proved daunting while
Richmond's strength was demonstrated working the ball up their right
side to find the net 3 times. The fourth Richmond goal was scored via
a penalty kick that got by rookie Goalie, Bryant Hall. Richmond's
Goalie did not go untested as returning 'Hound and captain Bradley
Boulet at the striker position and rookie right winger Ryley Austin
each fired off several volleys though none managed to get past the
Richmond Keeper. A handful of promising newcomers like Reece Rustad,
Dolan Shane, Elijah Spiro, and Captain Josh Huston are showing
enormous potential for the sport and will surely be ones to follow as
the season continues. The [0-1] 'Hounds travel to play Cony, Thursday,
September 20.
