I sent an e-mail to Mr. Cunningham concerning his disappointment at the low
attendance at the budget meeting. I told him I was confused at his feeling
disappointed. I then explained that the council would not let any discussion
on any item that was not brought before the council 30 minutes before the
meeting. He never said anything about MRS. Fitzgerald being chastised by
chairman Larochelle. He also never said anything about being applauded by said
councilman. He said he could not speak about the rules the council have made as
he was not at those meetings. He did say he thought there was no problem in the
way the town was being governed at this time. Now I am
confused.

"virtually every town has people...we know who they are. they are invariably angry, conspiratorial, victimized and loud. They use up lots of oxygen, see bogeymen everywhere...While they are relatively harmless, unless they get power- they still manage to create division and wreckage around them. They love nothing more than dominating public meetings , hurling loud accusations and malicious insults...and they're miraculously always both right and blameless. If there is a danger that these folks represent it's this one:they drive talented, thoughtful and caring people out of politics all together.
