The brave, hard-working sailors who make up the ranks of the United States Navy were outraged after they learned of a coming food ban that may have been instigated by the gross overreach of First Lady Michelle Obama’s “healthy” eating agenda.

Navy Secretary Ray Mabus announced that at some point in the near future, fried chicken, french fries and other fried foods often served to hungry, calorie-burning sailors busy defending our country will be permanently banned from Navy menus.

Not a ‘White Guy': Chattanooga Shooter Identified as ISIS Terrorist and Kuwaiti Native

Some of the earlier reporting on the shootings at two Tennessee military centers identified the shooter as “a white guy.” Now we know this isn’t the case. The shooter has been id’d as a Middle Easterner from Kuwait. It is also clear that he was acting as a terrorist on behalf of the ISIS terror group.

The shooter has now been id’d as 24-year-old Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez who was born in Kuwait.

WHO CAN WE DEPEND ON?

Several years ago, the State of Maine approved the use of “Fireworks” within the state.  However, the state left it up to the Municipalities to establish their own Ordinance to control the sale and use of Fireworks within their boundaries.  Lisbon established an Ordinance (Article II, Section 24-31, Sale and use of consumer fireworks) for the community to follow.  This Ordinance is very specific on the times fireworks can be utilized within the community.  The dates, times and restrictions are outlined in Sec 24-31(b).

During the 4^th of July and Moxie weekend, fireworks could be heard throughout the community at all hours of the day and night.  As good neighbors, it is our responsibility to comply with the hours designated by this Ordinance.  Unfortunately, this did not occur over this period.

This Ordinance has provisions for citizens who violate this Ordinance.  However, it appears that this Ordinance is not enforceable.  Chief Brooks stated that when this Ordinance was approved that there would be an educational period where the police would provide warnings in order to make everyone aware of this Ordinance.  The Ordinance has been in effect for two or more years now and we should be out of the warning period and into the enforcing period.   

So the question is:  Is the Police Department fining violators or letting them off with a warning for violations of the Ordinance?

By the sound throughout the evening hours of Moxie weekend and the 4^th of July, I can safely say they are not enforcing this Ordinance.  This leaves the Town Council with two options:  either repeal this Ordinance because it is not enforceable or charge the Police Department with enforcing the Ordinance.

Either way, something has to be done to protect the community and its citizens.

So much for the First Amendment under imam Barack Hussein Obama!

Restricting freedom of the press seems to be the norm for this administration and once again, they have demonstrated an unwillingness to be transparent with the American people on what is presumably a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act as Jade Helm 15 begins. Yet, the military is not allowing media access to Jade Helm 15 military exercises taking place on American streets.

The Washington Post reports:
Jade Helm 15, the controversial Special Operations exercise that spawned a wave of conspiracy theories about a government takeover, will open next week without any media allowed to observe it, a military spokesman said.

Embedded reporters won't be permitted at any point during the exercise, in which military officials say that secretive Special Operations troops will maneuver through private and publicly owned land in several southern states. Lt. Col. Mark Lastoria, a spokesman for Army Special Operations Command, said his organization is considering allowing a small number of journalists to view selected portions of the exercise later this summer, but nothing is finalized.

The common response is, "Well, we don't want our enemies to know what we're doing." OK, fine. Then why do we embed any reporters in actual warfare? Ever asked yourself that question? Why must we be so secretive about this particular 3-month long exercise that will take place on American streets, allegedly in preparation for war in the Middle East? Does that make any sense?

Lastoria issued a statement to the Washington Post on Wednesday, which read:
"All requests from the media for interviews and coverage of U.S. Army Special Operations Command personnel, organizations and events are assessed for feasibility and granted when and where possible. We are dedicated to communicating with the public, while balancing that against the application of operations security and other factors."


People have stood by the Jade Helm exercises as a "defensive measure" and such. The Rand Corporation even attempts to line up a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act with such use of the American military. According to a document on their site titled Overview of the Posse Comitatus Act, we read: Pursuant to the presidential power to quell domestic violence, federal troops are expressly exempt from the prohibitions of Posse Comitatus Act, and this exemption applies equally to active-duty military and federalized National Guard troops.

So, what's wrong with that? After all, isn't Jade Helm being promoted as dealing with dissidents and insurrection? It is, but the power to put down insurrection does not lie with the US military. It lies with the militia (the People).

Article 1, Section 8 reads that part of Congress' enumerated powers are to:
To provide for calling forth the militia to execute the laws of the union, suppress insurrections and repel invasions;
To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the militia, and for governing such part of them as may be employed in the service of the United States, reserving to the states respectively, the appointment of the officers, and the authority of training the militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;

Some will call this the National Guard, but that is not true at all. In fact, we know from history that Congress could constitutionally mandate guns and ammunition purchases for the militia for defense and that consisted of the men of the states.

 Obama and both sides of the political aisle, for that matter, will do just about anything to shut Donald Trump up about illegal immigration. Even going so far as to have the FAA rename three navigation points that had previously been named after The Donald. Censorship much? Discrimination much? You know what… it’s hard to intimidate a man worth $9 billion dollars. He doesn’t give a crap. Trump is the honey badger of politics. He has his sights set on the White House and he knows what Americans want – they want their country back… they want their Constitution reinstated… and they want their freedoms once again. So, Obama and the Washington Cartel can rename all the agencies, monuments and places they want… we want to re-designate America as the greatest nation on earth once more. A conservative is needed to do the job and Americans are demanding it now by the millions.

This Thursday, President Barack Hussein Obama’s Federal Aviation Administration announced plans “to rename three navigation points near Palm Beach International Airport in Florida” that it had previously named after 2016 presidential candidate Donald Trump.

The points, which were named DONLD, TRMMP and UFIRED, were reportedly to be replaced with “non-controversial” names.

It was obvious that the FAA purposefully chose to rename them in response to allegedly offensive comments Trump made the other week about illegal immigrants.

Lewiston – Members of the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club have invited Sara Trafton, from Community Concepts as their featured guest speaker on Thursday, August 6.   Trafton works in the Resource Development Department.  She has over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector in Maine, and has served in executive leadership roles for the past 12 years.  

Trafton has knowledge and expertise in community building and organizational development, and is a strong advocate for using collaborative, capacity-based approaches to solve social issues.  She brings passion and enthusiasm to the work of helping people and communities become stronger, healthier, and more resilient. She was born in Boothbay Harbor, Maine and graduated from University of Southern Maine with dual degrees in Sociology and Communication and academic concentrations in organizational strategy and public relations.  

When she takes a break from working on community issues, Sara heads to the “100 Mile Wilderness” in northern Maine with a tent, a sleeping bag and a few good books. Hey, media, Donald Trump will take your apology now for scoffing when he says illegals are all too often of the criminal class. Why? Because now we find out that nearly half of all criminal cases filed by the government are filed in the five districts on the southern border, those districts that just happen to have the most illegals.

The media (and some compliant, foolish Republicans) have been attacking Trump for saying that too many illegals streaming across our border are the least desirable types and that all too often they are criminals far and above merely breaking our immigration laws.

BUILDING PERMIT... It's All In The Wording!

I applied for a building permit for a new house. 
It was going to be 100 ft tall and 400 ft wide, with 12 gun turrets at various heights, windows all over the place, and a loud outside entertainment sound system. It would have parking for 200 cars, and I was going to paint it green with pink trim. 

The City Council told me; “Forget it...AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!” 

So, I sent in the application again, but this time I called it a "Mosque."

Work starts on Monday. And here is the best part,
it's going to be tax exempt! I love this country. It’s the government that scares me.
